What intimate rejuvenation means here
Intimate rejuvenation is a broad term for treatments aimed at vaginal laxity, dryness and changes after childbirth or menopause. At Eternity Aesthetics it refers to two treatments, the G Lift and the GF Lift.
This page compares them and sets out what is known and what is not. Dr Sin Yong is a medical doctor, not an O&G specialist, and he refers women whose needs fall outside aesthetic care.

Concerns women ask about
When to seek help for laxity or leakage is covered in our postnatal guide.
Options range from moisturisers to prescribed oestrogen. See the dryness guide.
Often called vaginal atrophy. See vaginal atrophy options.
Muscle training usually comes first. See pelvic floor physiotherapy.
What the evidence says
Vaginal CO2 laser has been studied mainly for dryness and thinning after menopause. Many studies are small, follow-up is often short, and sham-controlled results are mixed. In 2018 the FDA cautioned on energy-based devices for vaginal rejuvenation. A 2022 American Urogynecologic Society statement said CO2 and Er:YAG devices had yet to show promise for these menopausal symptoms, and that long-term effects are unknown. Other options to discuss first
Guided muscle training. It works on muscle, which energy devices do not.
Non-hormonal products for dryness and discomfort during sex.
A prescribed cream, tablet or ring for dryness after menopause, if your doctor advises it.
Vaginoplasty and labioplasty are performed by O&G specialists and plastic surgeons. We refer women who need surgery.
Who should not have it
These treatments are not suitable during pregnancy, or with active infection, unexplained bleeding, or an abnormal cervical screen still being followed up. Please tell us about any recent delivery, pacemaker, defibrillator or metal implant. Symptoms outside aesthetic care are referred to a gynaecologist.
